Learn More
Interested in learning more about Dungeons and Dragons? You can find more information and guides from Wizards of the Coast, the owners of D&D. They have source books available for purchase as well as more detailed information about the game. You can also check out D&DBeyond which provides similar information as well as online source books, character sheets, and even digital dice. It's a great place to start making a character as it walks you through step by step.
Find your Party
Once you've created a character, it's time to find the rest of your party. This can be difficult, especially if physical contact is limited. Luckily, platforms like Discord and Roll20 provide spaces for adventurers to play together online. Discord allows for users to voice/video chat and message one another easily while Roll20 provides virtual battle maps, dice, and other tools to facilitate game play.
Watch Others Play
One of the best ways to learn more about D&D is by watching others play. It's also a great place to start if you haven't found people to play with yet. There are plenty of "actual play" shows out there, where people tell stories by playing D&D and other TTRPG's on camera (or sometimes on a podcast). It's a fun way to engage in stories and learn more about the game. Here is a great comprehensive list from Podchaser of some actual play shows. Some of the more popular ones that I highly recommend include Dimension 20, The Adventure Zone, and Critical Role.
